How did you get started into lifting weights and training?
I'm very goal orientated so originally my goal was to run a
marathon but one thing led to another, and I found myself in the weight
room and was immediately hooked.
What other sports have you done or are you currently doing?
I use to play competitive hockey. I was a goalie.
What are your goals in competition?
To earn my pro card.
In your opinion, what is your best bodypart?
I really can't pick one because I would like to improve all areas.
Do you enjoy being strong? Why?
I don't see myself as being strong; my focus is not on how much I
can lift but the mind muscle connection.
Do you enjoy performing/competing?
I enjoy what it takes to compete, but to be honest, the stage
scares me. I'm learning to be more comfortable on stage.
Why do you love lifting weights?
Because I love challenging myself physically and mentally. And the
results depend on the effort you put forth - not anyone else.
Tell us what a typical day is like your you.
I get up, eat breakfast.
I get ready for the gym.
I train and do cardio.
Then I come home to get ready for work, sometimes prepping food at the
same time.
Work an 8hr day.
Come home and do a second round of cardio.
Eat and then relax for a bit or go to bed... It's not exciting
but I find when in prep, having some sort of routine or structure
really helps
Do you like to show off your muscles when out in public or do you
cover up?
I dress the same as I always have. If I'm going somewhere where I
know I will be gawked at, I might cover up.
What misconception about being muscular would you like to dispel?
That you can't be both feminine and muscular.
What kind of stuff would we find in the backseat of your car?
Sandals, extra pair of running shoes, a
Muscle Insider magazine, a hat,
a blanket, gym clothes.
