So this was the 25th yeah for the NPC Contra Costa championships and
the first time they added the bikini division. With over 200
competitors and a sellout crowd of over 1400 in attendance, the
bodybuilding fans showed that even an economic downturn can't stop them
from coming out to support the sports and athletes they love. Fitness
only had one competitor, Carrie Ann Simmons so she won by default
although she was a deserving champion having now gone back to fitness
after a stint competing as a bodybuilder.
The
bodybuilders in the show were pretty solid with long time competitor
Gabrielle Nicander taking the overall. Stacy Ostler won the bikini
competition as well. We have posted the shots we took,
although
we had to jet early so did not get the full figure results
unfortunately!
