2007 NPC Contra Costa

Hayward, CA, USA - Each year the NPC Contra Costa has a pretty decent turnout with some great athletes and some surprises and this years show was no different with Tanya Merryman making a comeback being one of the pleasant surprises of the competition.

In the bodybuilding competition Kelly Dobbins continued her hot streak winning both her class as well as the overall title.  Janae Senseri was one of the only crossover athletes,

but she looked good and had an impressive set of abs as well as an entertaining routine.

The middleweight class had but one competitor, Connie Holtz and the heavies was only comprised of two competitors.  Danielle Guevara won the class ahead of Tamela Jackson who has a nice physique but just needs to be a bit tighter.  Her routine was also energetic and a crowd pleaser.

The figure show was the Christine Burton show as she won the Masters competition overall as well as the open figure overall.  Other class winners included Bree Zentil who was very lean and hard in the A Class, Danyell Leavitt in the C Class and Michelle Batista in the D Class. 

Akane Nigro in the A class is someone to keep an eye on as is Monica Brennan.  Nigro will be competing again at the Cal in a few weeks and the state championship should see a lot of the same faces as this show.
