Sara Pascale

Name: Sara Pascale, figure
Age: 22
Location: TX
Height: 5'5.5"
Weight: 121-132 lbs.

Info: Texas seems to be home to a ton of great athletes, and Sara is yet another to come out of the state.

"I started lifting when I was 13 years old, and I have been hooked ever since! I played basketball in high school and part of college, so my teams were required to follow a rigorous strength training regimen. I have always had strong legs and enjoyed squatting, leg extensions, and plyometrics. In January of 2004 I got my diet completely under control for getting ready for a show in July. I trained hard to bring my upper body up to match my muscular legs. I am still working hard to gain in my shoulders and back, which continue to be my trouble areas.

"After basketball was over, I tried to get into running. I wanted that lean, skinny runners physique. Needless to say, my genetics didn't agree with that! So I searched for a sport that catered to my physique. I always loved to lift, and I had always wanted to see if I could obtain a lean, hard body. I knew it would take a ton of self discipline, motivation, and patience, mainly because I love to eat a ton! Yet I am always up for a challenge, so I looked at competing as a great way to challenge myself and develop those character qualities: self discipline, patience, and perseverance.

"I looked to competitors such as Monica Brant and Lesli Russell to be my role models. I loved their physiques, characters, and love for God that shown through their life. I wanted to inspire women they way they had inspired me to reach my goals. Now that I am starting to get emails from other girls that look up to me and my transformation, I am more motivated than ever to succeed in this sport!

"I love to lift because it gives me a rush and makes me feel strong. I love the way it makes me look, and knowing that it is such a healthy thing to do gives me extra motivation. I learned in college how weight training for girls starting when they are in high school can really increase their bone density and prevent osteoporosis at an older age. Now I am constantly trying to encourage teenage and college girls to look at a muscular body as the ideal as opposed to a skinny one. Not only does it look better, but it is a much more healthy ideal to strive for!

"I would like to one day get my pro-card, but I know I have many improvements to make first. I'm only 22 years old, and I am trying to be patient with my physique as a natural competitor. Give me a few years, and I know I can make it to the top!!

"My biggest goal with my fans is to show women that muscles on women are beautiful, and girls can train heavy and hard in the gym and still look feminine!"
