2011 Canadian Bodybuilding Championships
20112011 CBBF CANADIAN BODYBUILDING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Two new pros were crowned in Laval outside of Montreal at the 2011 CBBF
Canadian Bodybuilding Championships. Masters champion Lisa
Giesbrecht has been constantly improving her physique after making the
switch from figure and 2011 was her year as she accomplished her goal
of earning her pro card. Giesbrecht will be on her way to
Disney
World to celebrate, much like Super Bowl Champions have done in the
past, and is excited about the opportunity to compete in the IFBB
Professional Division. She was also in the open division
which
was won by local favorite Fabiola Boulanger. Boulanger vowed
to
come back even better after her close finish in 2010 and did not
disappoint, bringing a huge crowd of supporters as well the filled up
the first three rows of the audience.
In total there were about
222 athletes in the show, making it one of the biggest national fields
ever. And this was just with bodybuilding only. Next year the
CBBF will be introducing physique into the mix, and there was already a
bit of buzz about the new division.
